Savin Engineers, P.C. has been providing professional facilities management services to North Shore Schools for over 20 years. These services including performing building condition surveys, and annual visual inspection services for the district’s nine facilities. Updating the district Five Year Capital Facilities Plan each year was also included in the scope of services. All services provided are in accordance with the requirements of the New York State Commissioner of Education Regulations Part 155.4.
Field inspectors conducted visual inspections of building spaces, major systems, and system components. Changes in the conditions that occurred since the last inspection was conducted were noted, and new capital and maintenance needs were identified. Recommendations and probable opinions of estimated costs to accomplish the work were provided on a building-by-building, system-by-system, and district wide basis. Utilizing this data, the district’s five year capital plan was updated in the prescribed SED format. Additionally, 10 year planning has been performed for long range project forecasting.
