This important project primarily involved the installation of an asphalt overlay on the main runway of the Westchester County Airport. In addition other work elements included drainage improvements, lighting repair, sediment and erosion control and maintenance and protection of airport traffic.

Due to the magnitude of air traffic volume using the runway, most of the project work was completed at night as well as using 24-hour shifts on selected weekends. This resulted in a need for a large construction inspection staff for relatively short durations. Savin provided as many as five experienced inspectors at one time for this project.
