Savin is assisting the Pelham Public Schools with the implementation of the energy conservation measures planned in conjunction with a $24 million capital improvement project.

Savin’s role with regard to the energy performance contract includes the review and approval of invoices in an AIA format prior to payment, working with the architect to determine dates of substantial completion and final completion, and obtaining all warranties and user manuals from the energy service contractor (ESCO).

Projects to be performed under the EPC contract include lighting retrofits, upgrading boiler burners and building maintenance systems; repair and refurbishment of air handling units, heating, ventilation and air conditioning upgrades, and retrofitting 641 steam traps.

Savin is also serving as the district’s owner’s rep, providing construction management services for their project, which includes numerous mechanical, electrical and plumbing upgrades such as upgrading fire alarm systems, master clock systems and electrical switchgear; replacing sanitary lines, installing irrigation and drainage systems and valves in the water lines.
