Assessments

You cannot manage what you have not measured. Therefore it’s important for building owners and facility’s directors to know what they have and where they been before deciding where to go. Savin Engineers helps building owners and operators achieve this objective by providing a range of core and specialized assessment services designed to collect and analyze the critical information an organization needs to preserve its physical plant and protect the organization’s capital expenditures and investments. Savin Engineers ensures a consistent assessment process across multiple facilities whether a baseline of conditions, a targeted assessment, or a specialized criteria is required.

Pilot Studies

In an ever changing world of new regulations, new environmental considerations, and new client goals, it takes innovative thinking and “outside the box” approaches to meet those requirements. This innovative thinking sometimes has unknown consequences on performance and cost. In order to ensure these innovative approaches are optimal for the task at hand, Savin has designed, built, constructed and operated many pilot facilities to test the innovative approach. Our unique breadth of qualified staff allows us to perform these services and provide our clients with significant value in their projects.

Facilities Surveys

When aging facilities become functionally obsolete and inefficient to run or overcrowded, facility personnel turn to Savin Engineers for an effective method of evaluating the status of their organization’s assets. Savin Engineers delivers a comprehensive assessment of the number, types, and use of spaces. This compares space requirements in relation to present and projected needs of an organization, and provides a prioritized list of the need for repair, replacement, or reconstruction of existing facilities, including consideration of the obsolescence and retirement of certain facilities and the provision of additional facilities that will enable building owners and operators to make effective management decisions.

Subsurface Facilities Evaluations

For most of the world, out of site is out of mind…until something goes wrong. Savin’s certified inspectors, coupled with state of the art underground technologies (video, sonar, etc) allows us to inspect underground facilities and provide guidance on what repairs are necessary before things go wrong.

Conditions Assessments

Savin Engineer’s building-by-building and system-by-system inspection of an organization’s physical plant provides an overall snapshot and baseline of existing building conditions and a high level of detail regarding where immediate concerns are and where and when issues are likely to occur. Savin Engineer’s highly qualified team of architects, engineers, and certified code enforcement officials have conducted building conditions assessments for health, sports, educational, environmental recreational, transportation and housing in both the public and private sector.

Treatment Process Evaluations

As permit requirements change, necessary treatment requirements must be addressed. Savin's experienced staff has the capability to assess new permit requirements and develop innovative solutions to meet those requirements. With ever increasing financial pressures to do more with less, Savin strives to work within existing infrastructure to maximize treatment with minimum cost.

Energy Efficiency Evaluations

Organizations looking for energy-saving solutions to reduce their energy consumption and operating costs rely on Savin Engineers’ energy experts. Out team of energy engineers provide innovative and cost-effective energy-saving solutions to enhance a facility’s overall performance and comfort for building users. Savin Engineers’ energy engineers evaluate an organization’s energy systems and equipment, identify inefficiencies, provide recommendations on how to improve energy efficiency throughout a facility, and identify ways to replace obsolete, energy-consuming systems and equipment with more energy-efficient systems with minimal upfront cost to the owner.
