BOCES Southern Westchester

The Southern Westchester Board of Cooperative Services required the professional services of a construction management firm to coordinate a capital improvement project involving the removal of approximately 55,000 square feet of asbestos-containing ceiling tile and the installation of new ceiling tile within four school buildings and the replacement of the fire alarm system in one building. The challenge with the ceiling tile removal was the need to complete all the work within the eight weeks of summer when classes were not in session. Savin's experience with completing projects within a short timeframe, scheduling of K - 12 summer projects, implementing measures that result in the least amount of disruption to the normal school routine, and the need, in some instances, to relocate students to accomplish the work contributed to the successful completion of the work.
