In order to restore Croton Point Park to its full function, a new water distribution system was installed extending the water main throughout the park. Secondary lines were also designed and installed for existing and future facilities. A new underground high voltage electrical system and a new telephone system were installed as part of the project.

Savin Engineers provided complete evaluation, analysis, preliminary design, final design, and construction management services for this project involving several hundred thousand feet water distribution system. This included initial flow and pressure testing of hydrants and other devices in the system, development of detailed computer model, analysis of several improvement alternatives to minimize costs and detailed design of water system. Design included 4, 6, and 8 inch mains with 1 and 2 inch service lines, meter pits, valve vaults, hydrants, road crossings, utility crossings, and restoration of surfaces.
