Savin Engineers assisted CDM in the performance of a remedial investigation at the Brookfield Avenue inactive hazardous waste landfill in Staten Island, New York. The remedial investigation included hydrogeologic characterization; sediment and surface water sampling, as well as, borehole logging for 16 boring locations and real-time air monitoring.

Additionally, Savin performed ambient air monitoring both on and off-site including at nearby residential locations. This information assisted in the assessment of landfill gas migration/odor problems.
