Savin has provided owner’s representative services for the Rye City School District. These include:
Working with Assistant Superintendent to establish priorities for the annual capital appropriation; prepare Request for Proposals (RFP) to hire architects, construction managers, and contractors to design, manage and construct the projects;
Supervise the work of the contractor to ensure compliance with the terms of the contract and compliance with the specifications for the work; closing out the contract at the completion of the work;
Represent the school district in all functions regarding the execution of contracts with professionals involved in the design and execution of work to perform as part of the major capital project;
Review billings from the architects and construction managers for compliance with the terms of their contact;
Review the CM’s review of drawings for compliance within budget constraints
Review all proposals sent out by the architect and CM. Attend all pre-bid meetings as the representative of the school district;
Evaluate change orders, review all contractor payment requests and process all approved payment applications; and attendance of Board of Education, Facilities Committee and Superintendent directed meetings as required.
